The newly elected mayor of Nicosia Kadri Fellahoglu, responded to recent criticism from the DP party by reminding them that they were the party in charge when Nicosia council collapsed.
He said that the facts were obvious and that the criticism was a joke.
The mayor, a member of the CTP party, pointed out that during the previous administration, pension payments were not made for 7 years, social security payments were withheld for 2 years and that salaries were not paid for 3 months.
The citizens of Nicosia were badly treated and services were withdrawn and ineffective for years.
The mayor concluded by saying, “you sunk us, at least help to save us.”
