The new Radiation Oncology Unit at Dr Burhan Nalbantoğlu State Hospital in North Nicosia, came into service as of yesterday.
In statements on the new unit, Health Minister Faiz Sucuoğlu said that three patients had been treated already at the radiation unit in the last two days and added that their goal is to be able to provide services to 600 patients annually.
Sucuoğlu added that with the opening of the new unit they will be able to save around 8 million dollars.
