New satellite imagery of Cyprus taken by the Russian Space Agency shows an island covered in a carpet of green, a rare sight for the small Mediterranean island known for its hot and dry conditions.
The image shot by Russian cosmonaut Oleg Kotov was shared on the Russian Space Agency’s twitter site.
The picture shows Cyprus in a state lush green following the abundant rains that fell over the island this winter.
