The Central Bank of Turkey has issued new purple colour TL 5 notes today.
This has been done to avoid the possibility of confusion between the original TL 5 and TL 50 notes that are of similar colour.
TRNC Central Bank will also be distributing the new purple TL 5 notes in the next few days. The old notes will gradually be taken out of circulation.
