Following several reports regarding incidents where cheques issued by Nicosia Council have bounced, the head of BES, the council workers union, Savas Bozat, has revealed the consequences.
He said that as from February 14th, the council has been forbidden to issue any new cheques.
“Even if money came pouring down like rain, council workers will not be paid“, he added.
