President Mustafa Akinci has not been invited to the UN Humanitarian Summit to be held between 23rd and 24th of May in Istanbul, the president’s spokesman Baris Burcu has said.
Speaking on Genc TV, Burcu said that Akinci has not received an invitation yet and added that if Akinci is indeed invited, his will give it his consideration.
The newspaper report notes that President Anastasiades and the Greek Prime Minister Tsipras will participate in the meeting, adding that the latter will also meet with the Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan on the side lines of the Summit.
