The World Happiness Report 2018 states that North Cyprus ranks 58th in the World Happiness tables. South Cyprus ranked 61st.
The reports, which was released on Tuesday to mark International Day of Happiness, the report ranks 156 countries by their happiness levels, and 117 countries by the happiness of their immigrants.
Income, healthy life expectancy, social support, freedom, trust and generosity were the factors to support well-being.
Finland came first place in the report, which was compiled by the Sustainable Development Solutions Network (SDSN) and Global Happiness Council (GHC), using pooled results from Gallup World Poll surveys from 2015-2017.
Norway, Denmark, Iceland and Switzerland complete the top five. Neighbours Turkey and Greece ranked 74th and 79th respectively, while the UK ranked 19th and the US 18th.
The “unhappiest” countries were Burundi, followed by the Central African Republic, South Sudan and Tanzania.
