North Cyprus is participating in the ITB Berlin Fair. Said to be the world’s largest tourism fair, it runs between 9-13 March.
The TRNC delegation consists of travel agencies, the Turkish Cypriot hotel owners union and the Turkish Cypriot tourist guides union. Heading up the delegation is tourism minister Faiz Sucuoglu, who will be holding various contacts in Germany.
In the main, he will meet with German tourist operators, in order to boost tourist numbers from Germany.
Preparations for taking part in the fair have taken a month and Sucuoglu noted how important it was for North Cyprus tourism, to participate.
