The Turkish Cypriot Contractors Association and the Recycle Organisation in South Cyprus have signed a cooperation protocol.
With aim of protecting the environment, the agreement details who will manage solid waste produced by construction sites and how it will be recycled.
The head of the Turkish Cypriot contractors association Cafer Gurcafer, pointed to the importance of timely preparations, before a solution is found to the Cyprus problem, adding: “After a solution [to the Cyprus problem] is found there will be masses of construction waste. We must deal with the waste problem now, otherwise we will be facing chaos”
