The number of new applications to the Immovable Property Commission (IPC) has been greatly reduced or postponed without setting a new date.
According to Turkish Cypriot daily Kibrisli, in January 2015, only 13 applications were made to the IPC, while this number has fallen to only seven, in the same period in 2016.
In addition, the Commission accepted a total of 6,289 applications up until June 13, 2016 from which 762 were resolved through amicable settlements and 22 were settled in court.
