There are around 8,000 unregistered workers in North Cyprus, Minister of Labour Faiz Sucuoglu has said.
According to a statement issued by the National Unity Party (UBP), Minister Sucuoglu said that the aim is to register more than 6,000 of these workers and that between 750-800 persons have been deported already.
He also said that the general social security plan for the years 2019-2021 is ready to be signed with Turkey and will be submitted for approval to the assembly in 2020.
