Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Kudret Ozersay had a private dinner meeting with leader of the Greek Cypriot DISY party Averof Neofitu, last night.
Ozersay announced his dinner meeting with the Greek Cypriot party leader on social media.
He said that they met for dinner at a friend’s house in Korucam. Ozersay and Neofitu had unofficial talks which began in New York on the sidelines of the United Nations’ General Assembly.
The Deputy Prime Minister stressed that dialogue and cooperation was important in Cyprus, no matter what happens.
A joint message posted by Ozersay and Neofitu read:
“Whether we agree or not, dialogue is the only civilised way of moving forward. Following our meeting in New York, tonight we met in Korucam at a friend’s house. And we will continue to do so as leaders of our political parties.”
