Prime Minister Sibel Siber gave a press conference just before her council of ministers met earlier today.
She touched on a number of issues that they would be discussing at the meeting.
Mrs Siber said that consensus had been reached on the hiring of a fire fighting helicopter for the summer months. Plans would be implemented for this.
Further, in order to protect our woodlands from fires, there will be more fire stop strips constructed and the existing ones would be widened.
The PM also said that the distribution of pesticides would be strictly controlled. In future all purchases would need a signed prescription from a qualified agricultural expert.
