Petrol storage banned on state land

The council of ministers met under the interim Prime Minister Sibel Siber yesterday. The four hour meeting produced a number of decisions that addressed environmental and economic issues.

One of the first decisions was to reverse the previous government’s decision to lease state land for a petrol storage plant at Kalecik.

Secondly, all traffic related matters will be consolidated under one department, the Ministry of Public Works and Transport.

In addition all 550 decisions churned out in the last days of the previous government will be reviewed to see if they are in the public interest.
