Police Ban 29 Vehicles From The Road in One Day

Following  traffic inspections carried out by police traffic teams across the country yesterday, a total of 1895 vehicle drivers were checked, Kibris Postasi reports.

According to information provided by the police, a total of 374 vehicle drivers were reported for various traffic offences and legal action was taken against them, one driver was arrested and 29 vehicles were banned from traffic.

The traffic offences reported were: 143 for driving above the legal speed limit, 16 for driving under the influence of alcohol, 6 for driving without a driving licence and without insurance, 10 for using a mobile phone while driving, 32 for driving without wearing a seat belt, 13 for driving without a licence, 2 for driving without insurance, 20 for not complying with traffic light regulations, 5 for driving a motorcycle without wearing a protective headgear and 127 for other traffic offences.
