Traffic Police inspected 2,476 vehicle drivers nationwide yesterday, a total of 386 vehicle drivers were reported and legal proceedings were initiated against them, Kibris Postasi reports.
Due to various traffic offences, a total of 386 vehicle drivers were reported and legal proceedings were initiated against them, while 3 drivers were arrested and 20 vehicles were banned from traffic.
The reported traffic offences include: 156 for driving at speeds above the legal limit, 20 for driving under the influence of alcohol, 5 for driving without a licence and insurance, 61 for using a mobile phone while driving, 33 for driving without wearing a seatbelt, 12 for driving without a registration certificate, 4 for driving without insurance, and 95 for other traffic offences.
