Police discovered eighteen refugees, one female and 17 male, who entered North Cyprus illegally on the Küçükerenköy coast, in a vehicle.
The driver of the vehicle, a 45-year-old man, was arrested.
Police teams found the refugees just after midnight on Sunday following a tip off from the Coast Guard who had spotted a boat believed to be carrying migrants, which was about to make land.
