President Mustafa Akinci met with British Secretary for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs, Boris Johnson in New York on Wednesday
During the meeting, which took place at 5pm at the UK’s Permanent Mission to the UN, they discussed the ongoing Cyprus negotiations. Johnson reiterated his country’s support for the solution of the Cyprus problem and underlined the importance of finding a solution without delay.
After their meeting President Akinci said that the British Foreign Secretary was following the discussions with great interest. They discussed what would be the next best steps, he said.
Akinci met with US Vice President Joe Biden on Thursday. President will meet with UN Secretary General Ban Ki Moon on Saturday, and again on Sunday in a tripartite meeting with President Nicos Anastasiades.
