Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan will be coming to the island on the invitation of President Akinci to take part in the 20 July celebrations.
A press statement from the Presidential Palace says that Erdogan, who is set to arrive at 2pm, will be greeted by Akinci in a military ceremony. Afterwards, the two men will hold a private meeting, followed by a press conference.
