Turkish Cypriot President Dervish Eroğlu has sent a message congratulating Justice and Development Party leader Recep Tayyip Erdoğan on his success at winning the elections to become the 12th President of Turkey, ‘Kibris Postasi’ reports.
According to reports Eroğlu wished Erdoğan success on behalf of the north Cypriots and himself. Eroğlu also sent a message to Erdoğan.
Eroğlu’s message is as follows:
“I would like to congratulate your success in elections with sincere feelings on behalf of myself and the North Cyprus residents.
Our motherland Turkey has accomplished a lot in the last eleven years of your term as a prime minister.
We strongly believe that during your term as a president, motherland Turkey will grow in all aspects, and will develop and become one of the world’s most powerful countries.
The close ties between north Cyprus and Motherland Turkey are very significant and precious to us. We are sure that you will continue the contributions for the developments of these close ties in your new duty as a president.
Hereby, we wish you great success and health during your term as a president.”
