Turkish President Abdullah Gül will be attending the ceremonies marking the 40th anniversary of 20th July 1974, when Turkey began its rescue mission for the Turkish Cypriots, ‘Kibris Postasi’ reports.
Gül’s Cyprus visit will mark his last foreign trip as the Turkish President. The president’s visit to Cyprus, where he will remain for three days, will also be his longest stay in Cyprus.
Details of Gül’s programme are yet to be released.
