Prime Minister to sign water agreement in Ankara

Prime Minister Ömer Kalyoncu will travel to Turkey to sign an intergovernmental agreement on the water management issue on 2nd March.

Kalyoncu was invited by Turkish Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoğlu to come to Ankara on Wednesday, 2nd March, to sign the agreement.

Arguments about who should administer distribution and collect payments for water, since it was transported via undersea pipelines from southern Turkey, had threatened to dissolve the TRNC’s coalition government.
