The purchase of the anti-riot water cannon vehicle (TOMA) has been cancelled.
Prime Minister Ozkan Yorgancioglu made the announcement to the press saying that the purchase of the vehicle had been cancelled after reaching an agreement with security officials.
The purchase of the crowd control vehicle was a controversial and unpopular decision made by the previous UBP government.
Critics of the purchase have branded it as unnecessary and oppressive.
