The Reddediyoruz (We are rejecting) Platform has issued a written statement calling on Turkish Cypriots to take to the streets and demonstrate against the establishment by Turkey of a coordination office for youth and sports in the TRNC.
Emphasising that the issue, once again, will be sent to the assembly for discussion on Friday, the Platform called the Turkish Cypriots to resist and called on the government to “avoid crossing the youth.”
The Platform warned that if the government insists on the establishment of the office, they will “escalate their struggle in order to secure the democratic structure of the community and for the country not to be plunged into darkness”.
