While all flights to Ercan are halted, repairs to a 300-metre section of the runway are being carried out, a statement by the Ministry of Public Works and Transportation said.
The works carried out under the coordination of the Planning and Construction Department of the Ministry of Public Works and Transportation, the Department of Highways and the Civil Aviation Department are expected to be completed by the end of May.
