This closure is due to road work being carried out by Famagusta Municipality as part of a project to create new lanes for merging and separating traffic on the Famagusta-Nicosia main road.
According to the municipality, the road closure is in effect from today and will remain until further notice. During this time, traffic on the Famagusta-Nicosia main road will be reduced to a single lane heading towards Nicosia in the construction area.
Drivers are advised to follow traffic signs and signals and to drive carefully along the construction route.
