The sale of fish farm products from the TRNC to south Cyprus will be launched at the start of 2017.
Efforts made by the Turkish Cypriot Chamber of Commerce (KTTO), have resulted in a new agreement to trade within the framework of the Green Line Regulations.
Cigdem Aksu, responsible for trade and business development of the KTTO told Turkish Cypriot daily ‘Kibris’ that inspections and controls at the fish farm production facilities had been launched on 2010. She recalled that the process had halted because of the oil spill which occurred near the AKSA power plant. In spite of this, she said, experts report that the equipment can be restored and have submitted proposals to this end.
