Sea Water Pollution Tests Results Satisfactory

The Ministry of Health announced that sea water tests conducted across the island in July showed clean results. In a written statement, the Ministry emphasised that the July test results, assessed according to the European Union’s microbiological standards, were clean despite misleading comments circulating on social media and among the public.

The statement also mentioned that sea water analysis results are transparently shared with the public each month on the Ministry’s official website (https://saglik.gov.ct.tr). The sampling process for August is currently ongoing, and those results will also be published on the website.

The sea water tests are conducted by the State Laboratory under a cooperation agreement between the Deputy Prime Ministry, the Ministry of Tourism, Culture, Youth and Environment, and the Ministry of Health, focusing on “Monitoring, Sampling, and Analysis of Seawater Quality throughout the TRNC”.
