The section of road between the Bogaz junction of the Kyrenia-Nicosia highway and the Gönyeli roundabout will become a single lane on the side heading towards Nicosia as of 9am on Thursday.
This is to allow excavation work to lay an optic fibre cable, the police have announced.
Motorists have been asked to drive with caution.
