Speaker of the Assembly Sibel Siber met yesterday with the chairperson of the Australian-Turkish Chamber of Commerce, Nevin Huseyin.
In statements during the meeting, Siber said, inter alia, that Australia had the second largest Turkish Cypriot population after the UK where most Turkish Cypriots live. She noted that it was important that the state maintains cordial ties with the expats.
Huseyin said that there are around 50 thousand Turkish Cypriots living in Australia and she called on Siber to support them in order to help solve their problems.
