The TRNC will have a 6 day public holiday from 30 August Victory Day and to mark the start of the four day Kurban Bayram which coincides this year.
The government has also declared Thursday an official holiday giving public sector employees a 6 day uninterrupted break.
All public offices and services, with the exception of essential services will remain closed until Tuesday 5 September.
Police has announced that it has taken all necessary measures to ensure the public enjoys a safe and secure Bayram holiday.
The state prison will also be open to visitors throughout the Bayram holiday.
Pilgrims from the TRNC will also be visiting the Hala Sultan Tekke Mosque in Larnaca on Tuesday, 5 September.
Bayrak Radio Television’s news desk will also be closed during the 6 day holiday.
Meanwhile the weather is expected to be fine with slightly lower temperatures over the next week.
