The champion of the greasy pole flag capture competition was Tahir Savoğlu at the 52nd Traditional Iskele Festival, Savoğlu stated that he would donate his winnings to the SOS Children’s Village, Kibris Postasi reports.
The 52nd Traditional Iskele Festival is hosting a variety of colourful, enjoyable, and equally exciting competitions.
This year’s greasy pole flag capture competition, which will held in memory of the late Hüseyin Aşık (Zumbur) from now on, once again thrilled the audience. The competition took place at Dr. Fazıl Küçük Park in Boğaz, with the participation of Iskele Municipality Health Unit nurses and an accompanying ambulance. Tahir Savoğlu, who fought hard but never gave up to capture the flag on the greasy pole, became the winner of the competition. Aytan Tosun won the diving stage of the competition, which was an exciting event.
The three people who struggled to capture the flag on the greasy pole had fun and entertained the audience, providing both enjoyable and thrilling moments.
The highly contested greasy pole flag capture competition, held at Dr. Fazıl Küçük Park in Boğaz, was won by Tahir Savoğlu, who also received a cash prize. The winner of the Greasy Pole Flag Capture Competition was awarded a trophy and a medal by Kubilay Aşık, son of the late Hüseyin Aşık and a member of the Iskele Municipality Council, along with Iskele Municipality Vice President Halil Dericioğlu. Council Member Zekiye Gece also attended the competition.
The diving competition, an essential part of the Greasy Pole Flag Capture Competition, was also watched with pleasure. The winner of the competition, which provided enjoyable moments for the audience, was Aytan Tosun. The trophy and medal were again awarded by Iskele Municipality Vice President Halil Dericioğlu and Iskele Municipality Council Member Kubilay Aşık.
