South Cyprus Commission begins investigations on Friday

The Commission appointed to investigate possible civil, criminal or political liabilities in regard to developments in South Cyprus’ banking sector and the country’s economy will hold its first hearing, in public, on Friday.

The recently formed Commission comprises three Supreme Court judges, one of whom had to resign because of ill health.

New appointee, Andreas Kramvis now joins the three man Commission, while the other two members are George Pikis, Chairman and Panagiotis Kallis.

The Finance Minister’s Permanent Secretary, Christos Patsalides will appear before the Commission on Friday, at 9.30 am.
