Starling launches home delivery service

North Cyprus residents and visitors can now benefit from online grocery shopping, similar to grocery home delivery services available in the UK. In a bold move, responding to public demand, Starling Supermarket has just launched its new delivery service. The service has been live for 4 weeks and they have just started promoting it through in-store leaflets. A spokesman from the delivery team said the service is beginning to take off with many more orders coming through since the leaflets were printed.

Deliveries are available to all areas between Catalkoy and Karsiyaka and are managed through Starling’s main Alsancak store. The delivery charge is 2.85TL, reducing to 1TL for larger orders. This includes same-day delivery, with 2-hour delivery slots available.

The website is well organised and available in English and Turkish. Sale items are clearly displayed and browsing is straightforward. The site includes contact details for their English speaking customer service team.

Payment options include Visa and Mastercard as well as local bank cards such as +bonus and Advantage cards.

Our test delivery to our office arrived within a few hours without any problems…shame they don’t have cherry bakewells 😉
