Ersin Tatar, TRNC Finance Minister has said that South Cyprus may still go bankrupt adding that the government itself, had gone bankrupt. He then said that the TRNC had become a point of stability in the Eastern Mediterranean, thanks to the support of mainland Turkey.
He invited British and Russian nationals who were living in the South to move to the North.
Tatar said that those wishing to live in a peaceful country would do well to choose the North and added that this particular sector of the community could open bank accounts and buy property in North Cyprus.
“The Greek Cypriot administration will never be the same. Greek Cypriot banks need to implement the laws of the EU if they wish to stay in the Union,” he concluded.
