The Cyprus Turkish Secondary Education Teachers’ Union (KTOEOS) is currently holding a warning strike in the Nicosia region between 09.00 and 11.30 pm.
The union said in a statement that the action was to demand an environment that promotes qualified, science-based secular education provided by respectable, enlightened and free-thinking teachers. The aim of which is to develop a safe, modern, and democratic society.
There will be a march by the teachers’ union and a demonstration will be held in front of the Ministry of National Education and then the Ministry of Finance. The protestors will then march on to the Parliament building.
