According to the latest forecast from the Met Office, the region will be under the influence of a high-pressure system in the first half of the week and a low-pressure system with a hot and relatively humid air mass in the second half.
The highest air temperatures will be around 33-36 C inland and 29-32 C on the coast for the first two days of the week and around 38-41 C inland and 33-36 C on the coast for the remainder of the week.
Today, the skies are expected to be clear and slightly cloudy.
