A tender for the roadworks for Lefke/Aplic and Derynia crossings has been launched by the Technical Committee on Crossings in Cyprus, the EU Commission and the United Nations Development Programme, it was announced on Friday.
This tender will cover the sections of the roads located on the north side of the divide and the UNDP will accept offers until 1st July, 2016, the announcement also said.
“Following the announcement by the Leaders on 28th May, 2015, the Technical Committee on Crossings immediately began work on the opening of the two crossings.
“Agreement was reached in the Committee on designs, technical specifications and modalities of project implementation for both crossing points.”
