It has just been discovered that TL 7.5 million of white goods were secretly removed from the customs warehouse.
The missing goods were noticed during an inventory taken at the customs warehouse. All the white goods belonged to the Levent Group.
It has been established that the goods were removed and transported to the Levent Group’s depot in Haspolat. Some of the goods are already out for sale in the marketplace.
The head of customs, Mustafa Cobanoglu has confirmed that both his staff and those of the Levent Group could access the warehouse.
He says that the group will now have to pay the TL 1.5 million customs duties they evaded as well as paying a fine for the illegal removal.
