Chairman of the Turkish Cypriot Chamber of Commerce Fikri Toros has criticised statements made by Hasan Sungur, head of the TRNC Estate Agents Union, for advising property buyers not to purchase pre-1974 Greek Cypriot properties in the TRNC.
Toros, speaking on Kibris TV, claimed that “all the title deeds granted in North Cyprus are under the guarantee of the state”. He added that the leaders are negotiating the property issue and he believes that it will be solved.
No one who owns a title deed in the TRNC faces any risk, he asserted.
