Trade volume between Turkey and the TRNC has reached its lowest point in the last seven years.
According to the Kibris Gazetesi, trade has fallen by 8.6% compared to the trading volume for the three first months of 2015 which was valued at 229,385,000TL and the trade volume of the same period in 2016 which was 209,680,000TL.
In addition, according to data published by Turkey’s Institution of Statistics, exports from Turkey to the TRNC fell by 28.44% while imports from the TRNC were reduced by 5.90% for the above mentioned period.
