Traffic Accidents Lead to Injuries and Arrests

A series of traffic accidents occurred on the roads in Famagusta, Nicosia, Gönyeli, Kyrenia, Minareliköy, and near Ercan, resulting in injuries and legal action. A 1-year-old child suffered a skull fracture, and five others were injured. Legal proceedings were initiated against four individuals, and one unlicensed driver was arrested, Yeniduzen reports.

In Famagusta, an unidentified driver lost control of their car due to carelessness, veered off the road, hit a curb, and then crashed into a billboard. The driver fled the scene, but an investigation revealed the driver’s identity, who was found to be under the influence of alcohol. Legal action has been taken, and the investigation is ongoing.

In Nicosia, a 1-year-old child suffered a skull fracture after a driver accidentally crashed into a wall while parking. Several others in the car were treated at the hospital and later released, except for the child, who remains under observation.

In Gönyeli, a driver lost control of their car while under the influence of alcohol and collided with another vehicle. No one was injured, but legal proceedings were initiated against the driver.

In Kyrenia, a driver rear-ended another car, and while trying to reverse, also hit a third vehicle. The driver then hit the side mirror of a fourth car. No one was injured, but legal action was taken as the driver refused to cooperate with the alcohol test.

In Minareliköy, a driver lost control of their car while making a turn and crashed into the steps of a nearby house, injuring a passenger. The injured person was taken to the hospital, and legal action was taken against the driver.

Finally, near Ercan, a driver without a licence or insurance crashed into another car, causing their own vehicle to overturn. No injuries were reported, but the driver was arrested. The police are continuing to investigate all these incidents.
