“The world is moving away from fossil fuel and moving towards renewable energy and the TRNC must keep in line with these developments and take its rightful place amongst the world”, said Minister of Economy and Energy Ozdil Nami.
Nami was speaking at a protocol signing between the government and KKTC Telsim to implement and further develop energy efficiency.
After the signing ceremony, Nami said that his ministry was working to reduce energy prices and also to improve energy efficiency in the country.
Nami said that under the cooperation protocol, he had visited Vodafone in Turkey, The aim, Nami said, was to provide technological advances and energy conservation, in line with world standards.
General Director of KKTC Telsim Cenk Alper, said that signing the protocol was aimed at improving the energy sector in the country.
