Cem Kapisiz, President of the Air Traffic Controllers union sent a strong message of support to the protestors in Taksim Square yesterday.
His press statement says that the demonstrations started in Taksim Square have spread across Turkey. He feels that the AKP party has used excessive force and that the world press has reported on this.
Mr Kapsiz says that the fascist AKP party is trying to micromanage all our lives and using violence to impose its will. Its mask has now slipped. He then goes on to say that there are parties in North Cyprus that support the AKP.
His union will fight against these parties, he concludes.
