TRNC health organisations registered at online health service map

Eleven more health institutions in the TRNC were accredited by the International Online Patient Guidance System “Map2heal”. The system has been described as an historic step for the development of health tourism around the world. The NEU hospital is already registered on the system.

Present at the accreditation ceremony were Minister of Tourism and Environment Fikri Ataoglu, Minister of Health Faiz Sucuoğlu, Founding President of the World Health Tourism Council Emin Çakmak Current President of the World Health Tourism Council Ahmet Savaşan and representatives of other health organisations.

Speaking at the ceremony, President of the Health Tourism Council, Ahmet Savaşan, emphasised that the aim is to spread health tourism throughout the TRNC and increase the value added to the country.

The Minister of Tourism and Health and Prime Minister Hussein Ozgurgun and the Turkish authorities believed that health tourism would positively affect the TRNC economy and contribute to the country’s ability to stand on its own two feet.

Savaşan stressed that the government is making a great effort to make health tourism become a state policy. Having thanked the government and the Turkish authorities for the support they had given to the council and the people of the country, Savaşan emphasised that a new era in health tourism has begun in the TRNC.
