North Cyprus has launched a promotion campaign to attract tourists from the Scandinavian countries.
According to Kibris Gazetesi, the Tourism Fair Road Show, which is co-organised by Turkish Airlines and the TRNC Ministry of Tourism was inaugurated yesterday in Denmark’s capital – Copenhagen. The fair will run for six days and afterwards it will continue on to Oslo, Stockholm and Helsinki.
Tourist operators, hoteliers and representatives of the sector from several Scandinavian countries will attend the fair the reports says, adding that efforts will be made by the representatives of the TRNC to attract tourists into the country.
North Cyprus is represented at the fair by officials of the Turkish Cypriot travel agencies’ union, the director of Turkish Airlines in the TRNC, and Tourism Minister, Umit Ozkiran.
Officials from the ministry said that the Scandinavian countries are very important and that they will continue their efforts to attract Scandanavian tourists to North Cyprus.
