The TRNC’s Ministry of Environment’s Forestry Department has signed a “Forest Action Plan” with the Turkish Ministry of Forestry and Water.
The Action Plan which covers the 4 year period between 2014-2018 includes a series of measures, some of which are: Forestation, forest tending, fight against forest fires, forest planning, improvement of plantation centres, creation of picnic areas, construction of forest roads and fight against forest pests.
