Works on the Nicosia-Kyrenia highway have come to a halt as truck drivers say that they have not been paid for the past three months.
The drivers are employed by a private company contracted by the government to deliver materials for road resurfacing work.
No tarmac will be laid until they have been paid, the drivers who come from Turkey have said.
