A truck skidded off the main Kyrenia to Nicosia road near the St Hilarion turn-off earlier yesterday afternoon.
Rain had created a slippery road surface and the truck veered across the road, crushing a BMW vehicle against crash barriers.
The driver of the BMW was taken to hospital. The incident created long queues as police cleared the damaged vehicles off the road.
