Last year the British Residents Society created an award called the Rauf Denktaş Award (an inscribed silver tray). Their aim is to present this award each year to a Turkish Cypriot for outstanding achievement to the British expat community.
This year the BRS committee elected to present this award to Tulips/Help Those with Cancer Association at their AGM held at the Pia Bella Hotel, Girne on Saturday 23rd April.
Raziye Kocaismail, Chairperson of Tulips/HTWCA proudly received the award from Mr Taner Erginel, last year’s holder of the silver tray, to standing ovation from the BRS committee and members.
